THE SYSTEM OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORTING OF PROFESSIONAL PREPARATION OF POLICE: CONTENTS AND COMPOSITION
Abstract
In the article the integral representation of the essence of the system of psychological support of the process of professional training of the police is offered. The characteristics of its main components – principles, goals, tasks, functions, subjects, directions, technologies and means of implementation – are determined and specified. The system of psychological support of police training is presented by the author as a complex of managerial, organizational, methodological, educational, practical psychological measures aimed at increasing the psychological stability, reliability and readiness of the police and police officers to fulfill their tasks in combating crime and protecting public order for prevention of the influence of risk factors of professional activity, as well as preservation of physical and psychological health. The psychological provision of the police training process is considered as a system of activity of psychologists, which provides the future police with the opportunity to adequately assess and correlate their own individual-typological peculiarities with the requirements of the profession; competently solve educational and professional tasks.
The prospect of further development of this topic should be its practical implementation in the form of creating a system of psychological support for the training of police officers at three levels, namely: psychological support of primary training, psychological provision of training of police officers in educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with specific conditions of training, provision of psychological component during improvement qualifications of active police officers.
