FEATURES OF PERSONAL MATURITY OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS WHO PERFORMED SERVICE AND COMBAT MISSIONS IN ATYPICAL CONDITIONS

Abstract

Personal maturity is not so much the result of physical maturation as the result of the harmonious development of social and psychological traits of personality. As law enforcement officers of Ukraine are one of the key links in setting the conflict in the zone of anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine, it is important that they have an integrated picture of the environment and the opportunity to consciously adequately perform their assigned tasks in these difficult conditions, while avoiding the harm to their mental health.

The author of the article studies the personal maturity of the officers of the National Police of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine. The differences in the following aspects of personal maturity as a sense of civic duty and life suggestions have been determined. The National Police officers are more motivated by their life suggestions, their insight and judgment, the National Guard officers are more likely to patriotic manifestations, and their behavior is largely determined by their emotions and feelings.
