PSYCHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS OF CONDUCTING PRE-TEST CONVERSATION DURING POLYGRAPH EXAMINATIONS

Abstract

The basic psychological conditions of pre-test conversation during conducting polygraph examinations have been considered. The key factors of conducting pre-test conversation have been outlined. The methods and techniques of establishing psychological contact and obtaining the correct information have been outlined. Special attention has been paid to the main tasks of pre-test conversation in the light of their psychological conditions.

The author has made a substantiated conclusion that consideration of psychological characteristics and condition of the respondent, the establishment of psychological contact, the skillful use of techniques of psychological impact on the respondent in the process of pre-test conversation is a necessary and important condition for the success of conducting polygraph examination.
